PL21 Portland Bill Lighthouse
GB, Dorset, 1906
The first active lighthouse was built on Portland Bill (a long shinge spit) in 1716. The current lighthouse dates from 1906 and replaced two earlier towers. The lighthouse is unique in having a character (flashing pattern) that varies depending on the aangle it is viewed from.

The lighthouse is fully automatic but there a visitor centre in the ex-keepers accommodation - check locally for opening times.
