Product Information

Order PL04a Old Mumbles Lighthouse

Erected on a rocky island near Swansea, Mumbles Lighthouse originally had two coal braziers to distinguish itself from the nearby light at St Anne’s Head. It has since been converted to electricity and now has a conventional lantern.

The model is based on drawings reconstructing the original appearance in “Lighthouses, their architecture and archeology” by Douglas B. Hague and Rosemary Christie.

A printed model is also available showing the current appearance – look under Lighthouses, then Wales on the menu.
