The Wedel is a small survey vessel built in 2007 by Fassmer Werft and is operated by the Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsamtes Hamburg to monitor the changing channels in the river Elbe downstream of the city of Hamburg.

Her small size and draught make her ideal for river and estuary surveying work and her onboard sophisticated echo-sounding equipment allow her to accurately survey the river at speeds of up to 6 knots.

She is based at the WSE depot in Wedel, the town after which she is named.
