Description
The Grimmershörn is a small survey ship based in Cuxhaven, Germany. Her role is to monitor and survey the navigable channels of the outer estuary of the river Elbe and ensure that up-to-date information is available to all mariners.
She was built in 2009 by Fassmer Boots- und Schiffswerft, Berne. Her surveying equipment includes depth-sounders, side-scanning sonar and precision position-measuring systems. Her normal crew size is 4.
